Nora Lee Montemayor

February 14, 1965 - January 13, 2022

Mission - Nora Lee Montemayor passed away on January 13, 2022 at Mission Regional Medical Center at the age of 56. She was born on Valentines Day, 1965 in Mission to Rafael and Maria Villarreal. In addition to her parents, Nora is preceded in death by her caring and devoted husband, Gregorio Montemayor and siblings: Beatriz Villarreal and Rafael Villarreal, Jr., and a nephew: Jacob Villarreal. She will be missed by her daughters: Sonia Nunez (Andres) of Mission and Rebecca Rowan (Matthew) of Corpus Christi, Texas; three grandchildren: Destiny Nunez, Jasmine Nunez and Devan Nunez. She is also survived by siblings: Norma Linda Fonseca (Mariano), Antonio Villarreal (Belinda), Anna Herrera (Cesar), Jesus Villarreal (Alejandra), Arturo Villarreal (Diana), Veronica Arredondo (Joe), Luis Villarreal (Lydia), Oscar Villarreal (Criselda), Juan Villarreal (Maria), Maricruz Ybarra (Eloy+) and Nicolas Villarreal (Denise+). Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 19. 2022 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a 7:00pm Celebration of Life in the main chapel of Virgil Wilson Mortuary in Mission. The following day, Thursday, January 20, 2022- Nora Lee will be taken to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission where her casket will be blessed at 10:00am. Burial will immediately follow at The Lord and I Cemetery in Palmview. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID, visitors are asked to wear a facemask/covering. The family is in the care of Virgil Wilson Mortuary in Mission.
