November 1, 1972 - August 6, 2021

La Joya- Maribel Verastegui, was born on November 01, 1972 in McAllen, Texas to Mateo Salinas and Hermila Garcia, she passed away on August 06, 2021 at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, Texas. She is survived by her parents: Mateo Salinas and Hermila Garcia and her loving husband: Ricardo Verastegui. She will be greatly missed by her adoring children: Ricardo Alejandro Verastegui (Abigail), Yashiri Alexa Verastegui (Emmanuel), Yaresi Verastegui, Eduardo Verastegui, along with her siblings: Jose, Mateo, Guadalupe, Lucy, Paloma, Nieves, Noe, as well as 2 grand-daughters and 2 grand-sons. Friends and family will gather for a visitation on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm with a 7:00pm prayer Service at The Lord and I Funeral Home in Peñitas, Texas. A chapel service will follow the next day Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 10:00 am, she will be buried at The Sullivan City Cemetery. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID-19, we are limiting the number of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing.
