McAllen – Maria C. Salinas, 96, went to be with the LORD on Friday, February 5, 2021 at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas. She was born on March 5, 1924 in China Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Maria and Diego Cantu. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Luis Salinas; her children: Juan Cantu, Emma Garza and Genaro Salinas and her daughter in law Lupita Salinas Barajas and her parents Maria and Diego Cantu. She is survived by her loving children: Guadalupe Salinas, Amanda Cantu, Fernando (Maria Luisa) Salinas and Juan (Luis) Salinas. She will be greatly missed by her numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation was scheduled for Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 10:00am to 8:00pm with a Funeral Service officiated at 6:00pm at the Lord and I Funeral Home in Peñitas, Texas. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID-19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing.
