McAllen – Marcelino Torres, 86, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas. He was born on April 27, 1934 in Harlingen, Texas to Maria Guadalupe Islas and Hilario Torres. He is survived by his loving wife: Emilia Torres and their children: Jesus Marcelino, Alicia Escoto, Jorge Torres, Jose Manuel Torres, Javier Torres, Maria Guadalupe Benavides, Gilberto Torres and Ana Carrizales. He will be greatly missed by his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 30, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Lord and I Funeral Home in Peñitas. Funeral Service will be officiated at 12:00 pm the Lord and I Memorial Chapel in Peñitas. Interment will follow at Garden of Angels Cemetery in Mission. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID-19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing.
