John Raymond Partenheimer

January 20, 1943 - December 22, 2021

John Raymond Partenheimer died peacefully in his winter home in Mission, Texas on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 after battling cancer this past year. He was born on January 20, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois to Freiderich and Anna (Fick) Partenheimer. He was the seventh of seven children. He had 3 brothers, Fred, Walter and Irving, and 3 sisters, Eleanor, Esther and Lillian. He grew up on a farm outside Kenosha, Wisconsin and graduated from Wilmot High School. He served in the U.S. Army for 4 years, was a police officer in Milwaukee, WI, a teacher in Fall River, WI, a principal and a school administrator before retiring. He married Dorothy Ann Rassmussen in 1966 and had 3 children, Laura married to Philip Gehrke, Tim married to Kristi Heineman, and Jennifer married to Martel Chapman. John and his wife Dorothy also had 3 grandchildren, Annabelle, Isabella, and Mason. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and golfing. He loved to cook meals for his family and friends. He and Dorothy travelled extensively around the US in an RV for many years and also to Europe and Australia. They spent their winters in Mission, Texas and their summers with their family in Wisconsin. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and 2 nephews. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephew. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends
