Peñitas – Jesus Mendez Cerda, 41, entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission. He was born on July 16, 1979 in San Fancisco de Camargo, Mexico to Maria De Jesus Cerda Reyes and Agapito Mendez Balderas. He is survived by his loving wife: Edith Mendez and daughters: Gisell Mendez, Aneth Mendez, Ashley Mendez and Aritza Mendez. He will be greatly missed by his loving parents: Maria de Jesus and Agapito Mendez and his siblings: Julia Mendez, Maribel Mendez, Jose Luis Mendez, Francisco Mendez, Jaime Mendez and Lucia Mendez. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Lord and I Funeral Home in Peñitas. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID-19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral Service will be officiated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the Lord and I Memorial Chapel in Peñitas. Interment will follow at Lord and I Cemetery in Palmview.
