Mission – Elvira Aguirre, 86, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, Texas. She was born on April 23, 1934 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Estefana Gonzalez and Rosalio Vela. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents: Estefana and Rosalio Vela. She is survived by her loving husband: Jose Aguirre Alvarez and their children: Jose Benito Aguirre and Leticia (Jorge) Aguirre. She will be greatly missed by her 4 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and her sister Leonila Vela. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm with a 3:00 pm rosary recited at the Lord and I Funeral Home in Peñitas, Texas. Cremation will follow at a later date. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID-19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing.
