Rio Grande City – Anjelica Lopez, 72, entered eternal rest on Sunday August 23, 2020 at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen. She was born on July 19, 1948 in General Teran Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Dora Gutierrez and Jose Benavides. She is preceded in death by her parents: Dora and Jose Benavides and two sons: Alfredo and Alejos Lopez. She is survived by her loving husband: Alejos Lopez and their children: Jaime (Maria Del Pilar) Lopez, Rosa Elvia Lopez, Bertha Alicia (Abelardo) Lopez, Angelica (Cesar) Lopez, Rebeca Lopez, Luis Angel (Maria) Lopez and Freddy (Mireya) Lopez. She will be greatly missed by her 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm at the Lord and I Funeral Home in Sullivan City. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID-19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral Service will be officiated at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the Lord and I Memorial Chapel in Sullivan City. Interment will follow at Lord and I Cemetery in Sullivan City.
