Mission ⁓ Roel Rivera, born to Daniel Rivera and Carmen Flores, on July 7, 1938 in Mexico entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at his residence in Mission, Texas. He is now reunited with his dear parents and son; Roel Rivera Jr . Mr. Rivera’s memory will be cherished by his loving wife; Guadalupe Rivera and his caring children; Joe (Patti) Rivera, Frank Rivera and he will be missed by his adorable grandchildren; Dominque Rivera, Christopher Rivera and Joey (Randa) Rivera and by his great grandchild; Shia Rivera. He will also be missed by his 2 Brothers and 6 Sisters. Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Virgil Wilson Event Center in Mission, Texas. A Funeral Mass will follow on Monday, February 5th, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic in Mission, Texas. Interment will follow at RGV State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Virgil Wilson Mortuary in Mission, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
