Jesus Avendaño

PENITAS – Jesus Avendaño, 53, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, Texas. Mr. Avendaño was born in Diaz Ordaz, Tamaulipas, Mexico on August 19, 1962 to Arcenio Avendaño and Elsa Flores. Mr. Avendaño is preceded in death by his mother Elsa Avendaño. Mr. Avendaño is survived by his loving wife, Laura Avendaño, daughter, Damaris Ramirez (Ramiro Jr.), and son, Jesus Avendaño Jr. Mr. Avendaño is also survived by his father Arcenio Avendaño and siblings, San Juana Rodriguez, Laura del Carmen Garza, Dionicia Rodriguez, Maria Isabel Vasquez, Issis Mayra Flores, Rosa Isela Molina and Patricia Cantu. Our entire community is grieving the loss of a great leader who truly embodied the love of Christ. His kind and gentle spirit touched many lives. With that gentle spirit he was a servant to the Church, Family, Community, and School. Mr. Avendaño was a man of Faith, Love, and Joy. He was a light where ever he went. He lived by righteous principles and integrity. As a husband he was a true role model living a romance with the love of his life. He never failed to send hugs and kisses or say “I Love You”. As a father he raised his children with love and respect. He showed them how to live in the ways of the Lord by being an example. As a minister of the gospel he walked with the Lord, always teaching and preaching from a place of joy and love. As a community leader he led and served with integrity. He was truly a representative of the people. He leaves an everlasting legacy. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Iglesia del Pueblo 7500 West Expressway 83 Palmview, TX 78572. Visitation will continue on Friday, April 01, 2016 at Iglesia del Pueblo in Palmview, Texas starting at 9:00 a.m. and departing at 3:00 p.m. to Lord and I Cemetery in Palmview, Texas for Mr. Avendaño’s final resting place.
