Guadalupe "Lupe" Ozuna Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Guadalupe “Lupe” Ozuna Mission, Texas Guadalupe Ozuna, passed away peacefully and entered eternal rest with his heavenly Father at the age of 84, on Friday, August 5th, 2022, in McAllen, Texas. He was welcomed into heaven by those who preceded him in death; his beloved wife, Irma Ozuna, dear parents Jose and Eliadora Ozuna; six caring siblings, Ramon, Ignacio, Alfonso, Jose, Gloria Ozuna and Aurora Salinas. Guadalupe was born on March 25, 1938, in Edinburg, Texas. He married Irma Acevedo Ozuna and they shared a beautiful life together until her passing in March 2002. Guadalupe is survived by his two adoring children, Delma Ozuna and Arnold (Rachael) Ozuna; three loving granddaughters, Lauren Irma Rabe (Christopher), Jhenna Marie Ozuna and Chloe Chantell Ozuna; one caring sister, Juanita Ozuna Olea, and two precious great-grandsons, Conrad Nathan and Gunnar David Rabe. Guadalupe was self-employed with a successful air conditioning and refrigeration business from 1976 to 2019. Guadalupe was active with the Mission Housing Authority as a board member from 1984 to 1986, Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Commissioner from 1999 to 2002, and Commissioner and Vice Chairman from 2013 to 2019. He also served as a member of the non-profit ACE Club (Assisting & Caring for Everyone) beginning in 2000. In 2004, he became the President of the ACE Club whose mission was the up-keep of the City of Mission’s Veteran’s Memorial Park. Guadalupe held this title from 2004 to 2019. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. rosary on Tuesday, August 9th, 2022, at the Virgil Wilson Event Center located directly behind the main funeral home building in Mission, Texas. Funeral mass will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission, Texas on Wednesday, August 10th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers serving will be Christopher Justin Rabe, Herman, Aaron, Ryan Acevedo, Leroy Ozuna, and Manuel Garcia. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen, Texas. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID-19, visitors are asked to please wear a face mask/covering. Funeral services are under the direction of Virgin Wilson Mortuary in Mission, Texas.
