Francisca Farias

Sullivan City, TX – Francisca Flores Farias, 96, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Comfort House in McAllen, Texas. She was born on May 12, 1918 in Mission, Texas to Francisco and Anastacia Flores. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Jose Farias; son Rafael Farias. Francisca was an extremely loving and helping person who aided everyone in her family and was well known for her generosity and love. Family and friends were francisca’s passion and delight. She enjoyed spending time with her 27 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren. She looked forward to seeing every one of her children every year. People who knew Francisca know that she loved to garden. She would spend hours at a time gardening and assuring that all her plants were watered and fed. Francisca is survived by her daughters, Lydia Farias, Rebeca Mendiola, Aminda (Lupe) Guerra from Montgomery, Ill., Diana (George) Gonzalez from Weslaco, TX, Dalia (Leopoldo) Guerra, Paula (Ramon) Rodriguez from Aurora, Ill.; daughter-in-law, Baudi Farias; and her youngest son Jose (Elvira) Farias Jr.; 27 grandchildren; and 60 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren. I’m Free Don’t grieve for me for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way I’ve found the peace at the end of the day. If my parting has left avoid, then fill with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, an, yes, these things too I will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free! Visitation will be begin at 10:00 a.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. today, August 14, 2014, at her residence 104 South Mesquite Street in Sullivan City, Texas. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at El Faro Bible Church in Sullivan City, Texas. Interment will follow to Cuevitas Cemetery in Cuevitas, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lord & I Funeral Home of Sullivan City, Texas.
