Carlos Lozano

RIO GRANDE CITY – Carlos Lozano, 63, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning December 29, 2015. We held my father, and sang to him as he embraced the love and light of his Lord, Jesus Christ. The peace we felt in our hearts surpasses anything a human could ever provide. We trust that our father smiled from ear to ear as he saw his mother and father welcome him into the kingdom of heaven as Jesus walked him from this life to his eternal resting place, a place with no pain. Mr. Lozano was born on August 20, 1952 in Estacion Aldamas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Luis Lozano and Maria Santos Lozano who preceded him in his journey to heaven. He leaves his daughter, Claudia Lozano and her three children, Kaily, Faith and Ezequiel, and his son-in-law Ricardo Melgazo. He also leaves his daughter, Luzdivina Lozano, his son-in-law Abel Mercado and their two daughters, Isabella and Delailah. He leaves behind his only son, Carlos Lozano Jr., his daughter-in-law Michelle Lozano, and their four children, Carlos III, Karen Dante and his precious Kenna. He leaves behind his brothers, sisters and their spouses; Elvira Vera (Gilberto Vera), Juan Lozano (Estella Lozano), Jose Luis Lozano (San Juanita Lozano), Romualdo Lozano (Clara Lozano), Graciela Garcia (Amando Garcia) and San Juanita del Carmen Gonzalez (Rolando Gonzalez). Our father dedicated his life to showing God’s love and kindness to everyone he encountered, from his wife, children and grandchildren, the men and women he worked with each day, children he sponsored through different charities, the elderly he visited to sing them a song and bring them God’s joy, the sick who he visited to bring love and comfort, to the animals, big or small, that crossed his path. The void my father has left will be felt in more hearts than we can imagine, but this only means his purpose has been fulfilled. He was love, he was kindness and he was selflessness. Next to Jesus, we never knew a man like him, who loved like him, who gave like him, who comforted like him. We must be truly loved by Jesus to have been given the privilege of being led in this life by a man like him. With our dad’s passing, we are losing his touch, we are losing his songs, his little acts of kindness, his healing touch and the bountiful wealth of knowledge and wisdom he brought to all he encountered. But, at the same time, we know God only lent him to us and it is our turn to do the same. It must have been hard for God to be without a son as special as my dad. We understand, and we give our dad’s life, to Jesus. He is now an angel we will feel in every act of kindness, every touch, every word of comfort, every scent which blows our way, every flower breathing life, and everything good. We thank him for paving the way for us to join him in the beautiful mansion God prepared for us all in Heaven. May our daddy, hero and leader rest in peace and sing for Jesus and the angels while we fulfill our mission here on Earth before we meet him again one day in Heaven. Visitation will be held from 10:00am – 9:00pm today Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Lord & I Funeral Home in Peñitas, Texas. Funeral Service will be held on, Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 11:30am at The Lord & I Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Peñitas, Texas. Interment will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission, Texas. The Lord and I Funeral Home of Peñitas is in charge of funeral arrangements.
