Mission ⁓ Santos Covarrubia, born to Santos Covarrubia and Lidia Garza, on May 24, 1946 in Mexico entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 29th, 2024, in McAllen, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; Santos Covarrubia and Lidia Garza, along with the mother of his children; Maria Graciela Covarrubia. Mr. Covarrubia’s memory will be cherished by his loving wife; Elsa Iliana De La Garza and his caring children; Valentin (Ana Leticia) Covarrubia, George (Brenda) Covarrubia, Gabriel Covarrubia, and Santos (Maritza) Covarrubia, along with his 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He will also be greatly missed by his siblings; Olivia Guedea, Francisca Ibarra, Gloria Bazan, and Juan Jose Covarrubia. Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. rosary at Virgil Wilson Mortuary in the main chapel in Mission, Texas. A chapel service will take place on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024 at 2 p.m. also at Virgil Wilson Mortuary in the main chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens at 3p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Virgil Wilson Mortuary in Mission, Texas. Esta precedido en la muerte por sus padres; Santos Covarrubia y Lidia Garza, y la madre de sus hijos; Maria Graciela Covarrubia. Su memoria será atesorada por su amada esposa; Elsa Iliana De La Garza y sus queridos hijos: Valentin (Ana Leticia) Covarrubia, George (Brenda) Covarrubia, Gabriel Covarrubia, y Santos (Maritza) Covarrubia, junto con sus 9 nietos y 8 bisnietos. Sus hermanos también lo extrañarán mucho; Olivia Guedea, Francisca Ibarra, Gloria Bazan, y Juan Jose Covarrubia. Familiares y amigos se reunirán para un velorio el martes 2 de julio de 2024 de 1:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m., con un rosario a las 7:00 p.m. en Virgil Wilson Mortuary en la capilla principal en Mission, Texas. Seguirá con un servicio de capilla el miércoles, 3 de julio de 2024 a las 2:00 p.m. también en la capilla principal de Virgil Wilson Mortuary. Continuáramos con el sepelio en el cementerio Valley Memorial Gardens en Mission, Texas. Los arreglos están bajo la dirección de Virgil Wilson Mortuary en Mission, Texas.
